A pear cut diamond, is an elegant cross-over between an oval and marquise diamond. It is elongated with one rounded end and a pointed edge at the other end. These diamonds often show color the strongest. Pear shape diamonds are one of the hardest types to cut and are therefore regarded as of the most exclusive shape in diamonds. This diamond offers a larger surface area when compared to other diamonds of the same carat.
